Summer weather!

HOLY COWW!!!...it's 91 degrees here. I can't complain because just 2 months ago we were complaining about the cold! I'd rather have it hot than cold. I'm glad its FINALLY starting to warm up though!...15 days of school left. SUMMER CAN'T COME SOON ENOUGH!!! :)

Well...Confirmation weekend is finally here! This morning we had pictures and a run-through, tonight, is the Rite of Passage, not sure what it is...it's supposed to be a surprise! I've heard it's pretty cool though! Tomorrow is the service (very excited)! I'll be glad when all of this is over though! I will add pictures later!

Summer

Thanks Julie...I have heard from only Jon that his family can make it and Sarge and Marge. Let's decide soon, as summer is fast approaching and booking faster than ever! I still have it down, and would LOVE to see it work. But it's time to git 'r done. Thanks for checking with Scott...Glad to hear your fundraiser was ok, and it is HISTORY! When is school done for you guys? The girls go until June 11th I think....short summer. Then we are off to Honduras that next weekend, June 19th....Time is flying! Cindi

Finally Spring!

Spring is finally here! I've had Spring Fever for like the past month! Summer clouds. It makes me so happy! I walked home from school yesterday, I think it's like 3.5 miles or something like that. It was fun but it took forever! We're doing it again next Friday!

No school today...I need to go find something to do!

I'm Back!

Really, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, I have been running around like a crazy person getting ready for my fundraiser - came and went last night and did very well considering the fantastic weather we were having! A little short on attendance, but the people that were there were spending$$$$$ - GOOD FOR CASA!

Still hoping to be able to make it this summer, however waiting to see when Spencer leaves for New Orleans and what his BB schedule is. Not sure what Scott's plans are, I know they are heading to North Carolina in June - I will get it out of him. As far as Pat and Dave, they live day to day.....actually hour to hour!! I'll do some checking and see what we come up with.

Twins Opener!

Well...Monday is the Twins home opener! The last season at the metrodome! Last week we saw parts of the new stadium, very cool! Bummed Joe Mauer can't play (at least till late April). Ahh this is exciting! We hope to go to a game this week! 

AWOL

Well, girls, I guess everyone is AWOL....Nice edit on the shirts Madi. I received my box yesterday and will figure out a few things at church this weekend. Bailey needs her hair done in the biggest way!!! Not only looks bad, but smells bad too! Wonder if they do hair on Sunday's? Weather is suppose to be nasty north of here, SD is getting blasted too. Wonder what the weather is like in Honduras? Riley, gorgeous, fabulous picture! Wowsy, some eye-candy there! (Is the Ant suppose to say that?) Jackson got his cast off, then a leg brace for 4 weeks. He just got that off on Thursday, but still can't run or play much. He is missing tennis and is bummed. How is the shoulder coming? And VB? Riley, when is your dance recital? I'll see if I can stir up some trouble with the cousins....Love ya! 1gr8ant

This June, Cindi and I are going to Honduras on a mission trip! I am selling these t-shirts with the Green Heart to Honduras logo on the front and a hand on the back. Celebrity Letter!

For math, back in October... I think...We had to write to a celebrity and ask them how they used math in their everyday life. I of course, wrote to Joe Mauer! Monday at school, I got a letter back from him! My teacher told us that students have been writing to him for three years now and this is the first he's written back! 

He said HE doesn't really use math (figures!) but his bench coach could tell him the batting average of the players and how it changes as the batter goes deeper and deeper into the count!

This letter and picture is now next to my baseball! We look forward to going to Twins games this summer! Bummed out that he hasn't participated in any games or practices this pre-season (had a surgery before Christmas on his kidney) :(

Past my bedtime!

It was VERY FUN, wasn't it?? But way past my bedtime, I think I missed a whole nite's sleep from those 2 nites! And that was just us old girls! Hoping you cousins will be able to have some of that same FUN this summer when we get together....!

Happy Valentine's Day!

The day for love-birds....aww. Hope you were all sweet to your sweeties, you ate your fair share of chocolate, stopped to smell the roses, and of course, toasted with Champagne! Oh, the night is young! Jules, we did hunker in on that weekend in July. I would imagine by Sunday most will be heading out, as we were thinking Saturday for the main event. National Anthem at the Timberwolves Game/Baseball!

Here ya go Cin! Joe Mauer autographed baseball! I got it for Christmas! :)

On January 28, my school choir (audition only) sang the National Anthem at the Timberwolves game! I'm still trying to get the DVD from my friend but my dad, sister, Jackie and Hannah were all there and said the harmony sounded really good! There were 123 7th and 8th grade students (biggest group to ever sing at the Target Center)! Unfortunately, the Timberwolves lost against the Detroit Pistons but I can't remember the score. It was fun though!

I was disappointed we didn't get a picture with him too! For Christmas though, I got an autographed baseball! Joe Mauer touched it! Cin-I think the smile on my face was about as big as it was when we found out we were getting Cocoa! Exciting stuff, I know! :)

Yeah.....about the dates of the reunion.......July 18th and 19th ...correct??? Just realized that Spencer will be leaving for New Orleans on July 19th - he is going to the Natioanl Youth Gathering - that might put a kink in the plan!! Sorry!

Now we're posting Hotties on the family Blog! Madi, I can''t believe you didn't get a picture or an autograph! Come on girl, Git 'R Done! Just returned from 4 days in Vegas where the weather was about 10 degrees above normal. Darn, I hate when that happens! So the pool and sun were great, about 72-75 degrees on the roof. And your balmy temps? Just think it will be sweatin' weather in MN at the reunion sooner than we think!

The guy in the middle with the white sweater on is JOE MAUER! We went to TwinsFest last weekend and we were walking past the picture booth and saw him! Michael Cuddyer was supposed to be there but was sick so...Joe Mauer was there to fill in! It's too bad we didn't get a picture with him though.

This was in Duluth! (Split Rock Lighthouse) We went in August...I was signing in to blog and Jasper is on my lap and he was trying to type! He kept putting his paws on the computer!
